How to clean salt off Emu (ugg) boots?

Question: I have two brace of Emu boots but have pretty bad salt stains on them! I've tried that little go over thing they sell in the shoe store but it doesnt business. Any suggestions? On one pair the salt is REALLY bad!

Answer: Have you tried vinegar on a the religious ministry? Plain white vinegar on a clean cloth will very likely dissolve salt stains without changing the colour. Carefully wipe the boots off. The aroma might be offensive but I have seen vinegar work wonders on winter rock-salt.
