What fabric/material should I use to sew my trench coat with?
Question: I am sewing a trench coat and am wondering what transcribe of material to use. Even though the back says to use wool type materials, I am not adoring of wool so will use something less thick and lighter. On all my non-wool trench coats the tags say they are made of 100% cotton.
Answer: Look for what is referred to as bottom slant fabrics. This is the weight used for pants. You can also use gabardine or twill.
