Question: Present to a trip to Central europe... trench coat sufficient against the apathetic?
Answer: I don't mull over so for 5'C. I would better go for something thicker or some more layers under the trench. For 9'C it may be better.
It also depends on your cadaver: if you are not used to such a temperature, you'll be really cold. After some time you'll get acclimatized
